Original: redline or critiques please?
I hope it's easy to follow.

It would probably take me too long to explain how to proportion/ draw features in each step (I'm not very brief at explaining, sorry), so instead I'm going to link some tutorials you may find useful for each step to get you started. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll try my best to answer.

Also, if you would like me to actually explain how I proportion/ draw features, let me know and I'll draw up a separate... walkthrough tutorial... thing.

1: Proportions
Generally, I position the eyes, 1/2 way down the head (from top of skull to chin), then the nose halfway between eyes and the chin, then the mouth halfway between the nose and chin. Working from references is a good way to practice seeing how the features can be positioned!

Rough Facial Proportions

2: Features
Again, you could work on references to help get used to drawing the features. Stock images in the references section are a great place to start if you're unsure, especially as features are so varied from person to person!

3: Hair
Remember - hair doesn't sit flat to the scalp. Drawing the skull bald first and then drawing the hair is the best way to avoid this.

The proportions really are spot on, but this totally ignores that the artist was going for a fairly generic manga style, not realism.
